I never use this blog, so I thought I might as well start. If you don’t know, I brew my own beer in my spare time under the banner of the Expat Brewery. I mainly do it for a laugh, but luckily my output so far has actually been alright! This weekend I decided to share some of my adventures with you, you lucky lot. Armed with nothing but a shopping basket full of ingredients, a vague recipe gleaned from the dark corners of the internet and a (probably misplaced) sense of optimism, I launched my first shot at brewing a beer completely from scratch.
This year’s weather really doesn’t have a clue what it’s doing, which means that I needed something which was not only refreshing enough for a picnic in the sun, but also a perfect drink for when you get chased back inside by the rain. There’s only one thing I know which can serve those needs: ginger beer.
Rube Goldberg machines are super cool and gravity defying magnets and camera flips make for a brain breaking one.
Red Bull’s recent Athlete Machine was also a pretty neat interpretation of the original idea. Red Bull just have so much money these days don’t they? They’re really doing amazing things for extreme sports but their risk assessment process must be a total bitch.
